Spring Newsletter 2023
Hi friends,
At the start of this new season, I am just weeks away from the final move to be with my husband in Germany.
As you can imagine, the process has been emotionally charged. For months, we were in limbo, waiting for a visa; now that that has been granted, the race is on to pack up, to purge, and to say goodbye to dear friends, family, and my current home.
I’ve likened this liminal period to walking toward the edge of a diving board, preparing myself for a big leap and plunging into a new life.
Here's what I've been thinking and writing about over the past few months:
If you missed it, I said goodbye to 2022 by reflecting on all the ups and downs of the year. I wrote, too, about the purgatory of waiting.
This year, I gave myself a permission slip — I am choosing ease.
Here is the biggest aha moment I had during webinars led by Oliver Burkeman.
Are you an artist? Here’s my emphatic “YES”.
Some thoughts from social media: Keep making ugly art. Be inclusive. Working in five-minute increments is totally ok. Affordable art supplies are everywhere.
I haven’t been posting to my website much lately, but my creativity and art-making haven’t faltered. Check out my latest works here.
Thanks for reading and sharing this space with me. The next newsletter will go out the first day of summer (from Germany!) but til then, you can find me at my blog or on Instagram.
Take care,
Ingrid
PS. If you're new — hi! Let me introduce myself.
